Let's Help Each Other Out - Lakewood Residents' Request and Offer Portal

This corner of SF is beautiful, but remote. Even when all the shops are open, there really aren't any within reasonable walking distance. Especially for seniors and people with underlying health problems, taking the bus or getting into an Uber can pose too great a risk just to buy some dog food or a quart of milk, right now.

How about those of us lucky enough to live at Lakewood try to help one another out? I've created two very simple forms that I've made public, and which anyone with internet access can open and add to.

Is there something you need, and which you're hoping one of your Lakewood neighbors can provide? Maybe you have something you'd like to exchange, maybe not. I'm sure most of us would love to be of service to our neighbors during this difficult time, but how can we, unless we know what they need?

Let's say you need flour, or that you'd love a new book to read, or a some DVDs to watch to kill the time. You can open the form, post your request and your contact details and, hopefully, you'll get matched up with the very thing you need, without having to risk running out to the store, or spending money you can't really afford. Have a need or request? List it.

On the other hand, if you have anything you'd like to put on offer, I've created a form for this, as well. If there is anything you'd like to put out there on offer, list it here.

These lists are NOT to be used for the selling of goods or services - this is about helping each other out, sharing with our neighbors, and doing the right thing, NOT about profiteering from a crisis.
